Commissions

I create pet and wildlife portraits in a variety of mixed medias such as watercolour, ink, pencil and coloured pencil.
All artwork is painted or drawn on high quality paper.

I love capturing the fantastic personalities of each pet through my
artwork. To do so I would like to know more about your pet, do they
have any funny traits, special markings? Do they guard the top of the
garden from the ducks? Or is that just mine? Haha, Whatever it is let
me know!
I don’t restrict myself to just cats and dogs so whatever type of lovely creature your pet is, it
is more than welcome.
The Process

Get in touch with me about your requirements for your
commission via the 'Contact' page. If you have
a budget and a date you require the commission by let me know
and I will do my best to work to your requirements. -
I will give you a total cost and approximate timescale.

Send me the best photograph of your pet or wildlife which I will work from. Please refer to my photograph guide further down this page.

Once I receive the chosen photograph I will get to work on your commission, keeping you up to date with its progress.

When your commission is complete I will send you photographs. If you are happy with the artwork, I will request the remaining payment. Your artworks will then be securely packed and posted to you.

If you would like a larger commission or would like multiple pets drawn
please email me with your requirements and I will get back to you asap.
The cost will depend on the size and medium you choose and for larger
commissions a 25% deposit is required. Please do not hesitate to contact
me and I will do my best to accommodate your budget.

Photograph Guide

I know how difficult it is to get even a half decent photograph of your pet.
They never sit still for long enough. So here are a few tips I’ve picked up for that perfect photo.

You need a good close up to make sure you get those all important
details, maybe even capturing that cheeky, mischievous look they
give you. -
Natural lighting is perfect so take your pet outside with the sun behind
the photographer. -
This is always a two man job so have one savvy camera person and
another person by their side with treats, a favourite toy anything that
will grab your pets attention. -
If you don’t want the collar on the artwork make sure you take it off
for the photograph. -
Take a few photos at slightly different angles of both sides of your pet.

So hopefully you will have a few photographs that would be suitable for the portrait. Make sure you choose a photograph that shows off their personality.
